The Pevero Golf Club sits harmoniously in a Mediterranean location covered with broom and myrtle, and sweet smelling bush- laden with berries, all nestled between natural lakes and rock formations. As for the game itself, it is considered by all players to be one of the most memorable of golf experiences. The holes are placed on an extraordinary path where the mistral, the renowned north wind, increases the difficulty of each shot.
Day 6
11.00 - 22.00 : Bonifacio
Perched precariously on a high rocky promontory, Bonifacio occupies a very special place in the Corsican landscape, particularly when viewed from the sea. A fortress city atop white limestone and granite cliffs that have been sculpted by wind and waves, Bonifacio’s historic medieval heart of tall, narrow houses and winding cobblestone streets is protected by an impressive citadel wall embellished with square towers: a beautiful sight.
Bonifacio is the most spectacular village in Corsica, perched at the top of the white cliffs and overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
Bonifacio owes its renown to the majestic citadel that was built in the 9th century by Boniface II of Tuscany. Its Genoese influence and vivid colours evoke the traditions of a region which has managed to protect its historical and cultural heritage, while at the same time ensuring its economic development.
The "Haute-Ville" (or UpperTown) which has most of the town's heritage of monuments and buildings, is built on a limestone peninsula 1,500 metres long, and 200 metres wide. Overlooking the straight, it juts out over the sea for 50 or 60 metres and dominates the Marina.
GOLF : Sperone golf course
Located at the far tip of Corsica island, Sperone golf course is one of the most prized treasure in Europe.
The front nine are set in the typical Corsican “maquis” (scrubland) with its myrtle, lavender and thyme scents, and the back nine are on the ocean side. Robert Trent Jones himself do not hesitate to compare the 5 holes on the cliff top to the best sequences of PebbleBeach and Cypress point.
Depending on the wind conditions (often strong on this spot),one can either use a 9 iron or a 5 wood on the 145 yds par 3 12th, nestled into the cliffs, Sperone is definitely an outstanding gem and fascinating experience
Day 7
12.00 - 20.00 : Calvi
From the moment you arrive, Calvi’s Genoese Citadel seems to beckon you to the top of its ramparts. A jewel of Balagne, this “citadel city” is impressively beautiful. Stretching from Calvi to L’Ile Rousse, the coastline is renowned for its picturesque villages and their narrow cobbled streets. An opportunity to explore Corsica’s “maquis” and its magnificent unspoiled countryside – still intact

Its original design was signed by Colt and Simpson, the most famous architects in the twenties, and then redesigned by Thomas and Alliss in 1978.
