Suggested Visit of a Foie Gras farm
To put it simply, Foie Gras is literally goose or duck liver. The name actually means “fatty liver” in French. Its origins date all the way back to the ancient Egyptians, who noticed their geese would eat large amounts of food during the winter.  By the first century B.C., the Romans force-fed their geese with figs, which made the Foie Gras richer and extra sweet.  The King of France, Louis XVI, once proclaimed Foie Gras as “The Dish of Kings.”  As of today it is a traditional meal for christmas and new year’s eve celebrations in France.
Foie Gras is a delightful French specialty that should absolutely be tasted upon visiting our country.

Wine tasting visit at Chateau Palmer. Château Palmer is a Grand Cru Classé de Médoc located in the worldwide renowned city of Margaux.
Château Palmer's finesse, elegance and concentration, typical of the greatest wines of Margaux, are above all due to its unique terroir of gravelly rises.
Built in 1856 for the brothers Isaac and Emile Péreire, the château shows a subtle blend of classic, Baroque, and Renaissance styles, and features tall windows with blue shutters, sculpted lintels, and a slate roof. The glazed doors open onto recently-created topiary gardens.
Looking beyond the gardens, visitors can admire the gentle slope of the gravelly rises of Margaux and Cantenac where Palmer's vineyards are to be found. The long rows of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines stretch out to the horizon under the blue Médoc sky...

The fast greens, the influence of winds from the Atlantic ocean, and the technical difficulties of the layout go to make this championship course a constant challenge.
Medoc les Châteaux course is set in the heart of the wine area and the players will have no doubt about that, since each hole is named after a Medoc top vintage and the 150 yards mark is …a bottle of wine.
